We have put together some of the children’s favourite nursery rhymes that we sing together. We though you may like them for use at home. Some of the words may vary from the original, but we love them all the same.

It may interest you to know how singing nursery rhymes is a superb and engaging way of developing your child’s language skills. Your child learns about ‘pitch, volume and voice inflection’ and the ‘rhythm of language’. It develops skills, such as ‘easy recall’ and ‘memorization’ supporting cognitive development. Simple maths skills are developed from learning simple patterns, numbers and sequences. In fact some children’s very first sentences are from a nursery rhyme.

But most of all its FUN and the children really enjoy it!
